How do you lead during a crisis?

Human Focused Leadership: I believe we need to check in on staff and recognize that real life and work life are colliding as a result of COVID-19. We have employees who are doing telework and teaching their children at the same time. We have employees whose spouses may have lost their jobs and money is a concern. We have employees that may be worrying about their elder or compromised family members. At the Benefits Bureau, we try to encourage each other and keep in touch. We have a weekly Zoom meeting to check in and just hear each other's voices. We talk about the struggles we are experiencing with telework and how we can help each other. Support is needed more than ever and we have to rise above and care. We need to realize that not everyone is going to have a good day, every day; but by supporting each other we will make it through the challenges!
